Ubuntu needs a keynote podcast

Recently, A friend and I have been discussing Ubuntu, Cause frankly I know no one who will these days. He also has developed his own flavour of the OS. see here.

Anyways, He recently brought up Ubuntu's Development Model. (And the removal of Pulse Audio)
Which got me thinking. I don't agree with the way they are doing things. (This won't stop me from using the OS) Ubuntu feels that every 6 months they generally need a new OS. There is a new version every 6 months for you's playing at home.

Now I have been a user of Ubuntu since 5.04 and 5.10, I am now using 10.04 (See the big number change?) I feel like I havent been using it for very long (Im not serious) Anyhow. I feel instead of changing the version number ALL the time just leave it the way it is and basically give us Scheduled upgrades like Mac does, throw up a keynote podcast or something, then give us the option to make suggestions and comments in and implement changes by using user feedback (keeping it open ended) I mean throw in a background things that will make the changes work, and to keep the OS stable. I just feel like I get used to the OS I am using and they throw me a new one to try. I find it hard to keep using a lower version of even a simple program (I like to be bleeding edge) so I feel I am forced to update.

Slow Implements I think will attract more users and generally make it grow that much better.

Thanks
